September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  A month dedicated to bringing awareness to this often ignored and stigmatized subject.  We hope this project will raise awareness and spark a conversation surrounding the importance of suicide prevention awareness along with mental health and wellness.

Unlike many causes of death, Suicide can be prevented.  We can work together to ease the suffering of those within our reach. Suicide prevention is truly a community effort that requires friends, families, co-workers, and community members to work together.  Our most valuable resource is each-other.

Our message is simple and profound; You are not alone.  If you are thinking about suicide or are concerned about someone else, don’t stay silent.  Help is available 24/7 to talk, answer questions, and assist you in navigating challenging situations.  Help is within reach!

Suicide prevention is a critical issue that affects every community, age group, and demographic. Open conversations about mental health, offering a supportive ear, and guiding individuals toward professional help are essential steps in making a real impact. Many people in deep despair feel isolated and misunderstood, believing no one can understand their struggles. In these moments, a simple “I’m here for you” can be a lifeline.

You don’t have to be a mental health expert to make a difference—sometimes just being present and creating a safe space for conversation is enough to help someone take the next step toward getting help. It’s important to remind others that asking for help is okay, vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, and together, we can overcome even the darkest times.
